What DTF Transfer Shipping Actually Costs in Canada

One number, the whole country.

Most printers run a weight-and-zone shipping table, which means you cannot know what an order costs to deliver until you have built it. We charge $9.99 on a transfer order regardless of what is in it or where it is going.

That is genuinely worse for us on long routes and better on short ones — a package to Victoria costs considerably more to move than one to Mississauga, and both carry the same fee. We would rather absorb that variance than make you calculate it.

Over $275, before tax.

The threshold is measured on the pre-tax items subtotal. That distinction matters more than it sounds: an order that reaches $275 only after HST has been added has not cleared it. The number to watch is the subtotal in your cart, not the total at the bottom.

At $0.0249 per square inch, $275 of printing is a substantial order — roughly ninety adult front prints, or a large gang sheet. Most single-design orders will not reach it, and most crew or reseller orders will.

If you are close, the practical move is to add the transfers you know you will need next month rather than paying to ship twice. Transfers store flat indefinitely away from heat and sunlight, so buying ahead costs nothing but shelf space.

One label per customer per day.

Only the first order of your day carries the shipping fee. If you order at 9 AM and remember something at 2 PM, the second order joins the first shipment and adds no further shipping charge — provided the first has not already gone out.

This is the single most useful thing to know about our shipping and almost nobody finds out about it, because it happens quietly at checkout rather than being advertised. It also means you should never hold an order back purely to avoid a second shipping charge.

Every order ships tracked. Transit is measured from the ship date — the morning after printing — so add one business day for production if you ordered before the cut-off.

Two things the flat rate does not cover.

Transfer orders are always the flat rate. The exceptions are on the supplies side of the shop, and they exist because pretending otherwise would produce a dispute rather than a sale.

Heavy supplies carry a handling surcharge

Large ink containers and similar over-weight goods still go by parcel but add a per-unit handling charge on top of the flat rate. It is shown at checkout, not discovered later.

Hardware ships by freight

A DTF printer weighs a few hundred kilograms and travels on a pallet. There is no honest way to guess that at checkout, so freight on printers and presses is quoted after the order and confirmed with you before anything ships. We would rather have that conversation than put a number on the screen we cannot stand behind.

How much is shipping on DTF transfers?

A flat $9.99 per order, anywhere in Canada. It does not change with weight, quantity or province — a single transfer to Toronto and a hundred to Victoria carry the same shipping charge.

When is shipping free?

Once your items subtotal passes $275 before tax. The threshold is measured on the pre-tax subtotal, so the figure in your cart is the figure that counts — tax is not included in reaching it.

Do I pay shipping twice if I order again the same day?

No. Only the first order of your day carries the shipping fee; later same-day orders ship together with it at no additional shipping cost, as long as the first has not shipped yet.

Is shipping cheaper to Ontario than to BC?

No, and that is deliberate. The flat rate means a customer in Victoria pays the same shipping as one in Mississauga. It costs us more to reach BC, and we would rather price simply than run a postal-code table.

Are there any orders the flat rate does not cover?

Do you offer pickup?
